Graduates and mentees who progress from the foundation studies and have completed the advanced ophthalmic optics courses will be able to:
- Articulate and integrate an understanding of the body of knowledge in ophthalmic optics and their applications to professional practice.
- Use expert, specialised cognitive and technical skills in ophthalmic optics to independently and critically analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories.
- Apply knowledge and skills in ophthalmic optics to work in the ophthalmic industry.
- Demonstrate effective and professional skills in communicating information and judgements to patients and other health care providers.
