Graduates and mentees who progress from the foundation studies and have completed the advanced ophthalmic optics courses will be able to:

  1. Articulate and integrate an understanding of the body of knowledge in ophthalmic optics and their applications to professional practice.
  2. Use expert, specialised cognitive and technical skills in ophthalmic optics to independently and critically analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories.
  3. Apply knowledge and skills in ophthalmic optics to work in the ophthalmic industry.
  4. Demonstrate effective and professional skills in communicating information and judgements to patients and other health care providers.
